With its 20% market share, Qweekle is a game changer for zoos and aquariums
With more than 20% of French zoos and aquariums on board, Qweekle has established itself as a key solution for managing animal parks.
Thanks to a comprehensive platform combining ticketing, CRM, marketing and stock management, Qweekle is optimising day-to-day operations while enhancing the experience of visitors and park staff alike.
Claude Neime, Sales and Onboarding Executive at Qweekle, reviews the challenges facing the sector and the solutions we’ve come up with.

A look back at Qweekle’s first collaborations: Touroparc Zoo and Biarritz Océan
Touroparc Zoo was the first animal park to choose Qweekle to manage its cash registers. Initially, the solution was integrated at all points of sale: ticketing, catering and in the shop. Then, thanks to Qweekle’s modular approach, Touroparc was able to gradually add new functions, such as online ticketing. Today, the zoo offers open tickets, VIP tour bookings and even gift vouchers, enhancing its customer offering.
Biarritz Océan has also been a key player in Qweekle’s expansion into the aquarium sector.
Biarritz Océan joined Qweekle’s client list in 2022, marking an important step in our expansion into the aquarium sector in France,” recounts Claude.
“Due to their size and needs, these two establishments regularly challenge us with new requests, enabling us to develop increasingly innovative features tailored to the specific needs of zoos and aquariums.”
More recently, the Lozère animal parks Les Loups du Gévaudan, Les Bisons d’Europe and the Parc Animalier du Domaine de Rambouillet have also joined the Qweekle family.
How is Qweekle helping zoos make the digital transition with an all-in-one solution?
Qweekle offers zoos and aquariums numerous functional and operational advantages.
Visitor flow management has been improved by introducing real-time monitoring of both ticket office sales and online ticket purchases.
The solution makes it possible, in real time, to combine traditional ticketing, CSE (social and economic committee) management and booking of VIP activities, such as animal feeding or the ‘Keeper for a Day’ experience.
Private online sales dedicated to CSEs are particularly popular. They enable parks to offer online ticketing to professional groups with restricted access. Operational planning is also widely used, allowing you to plan for the day by optimising procurement and human resource management.
As well as guaranteeing accurate visitor monitoring, Qweekle also helps manage complex issues such as perishable food stocks in catering outlets and animal feeding.
“The keepers, who are generally less experienced with digital tools, quickly adopted Qweekle to manage animal feeding, which marked a turning point in the integration of the field teams,” adds Claude. “This adoption is a real success and shows just how well the solution adapts to the specific needs of animal parks, from the front office to the field teams.”
Qweekle is committed to providing zoos and aquariums with dedicated customer support and personalised assistance, facilitating their digital transition.

What are the new challenges facing zoos and aquariums today, and how is Qweekle helping to meet them?
Digitalisation and the growing number of entertainment venues are major challenges for zoos and aquariums.
“Historically, animal parks have sold open tickets on their websites. The trend is now moving towards dated tickets. For the customer, this represents a clear advantage in terms of lower prices. For example, if you book three days in advance, admission is €2 cheaper than on site. With dated tickets, everyone wins because it allows operators to better manage flows and forecasts,” explains Claude.
These days, parks often find themselves juggling with several technological solutions to manage their activities. With its all-in-one solution, Qweekle provides seamless management of ticketing, access control and catering. No more overlap between different tools: everything is centralised, saving considerable time and improving team organisation.
“Qweekle is a flexible tool with many features that can be implemented gradually as the park’s needs change. In this way, we guarantee smooth adoption, even for teams who are less tech-savvy.”
Zoos and aquariums are now focusing on enhancing visitor experience management
Animal parks and aquariums are changing the way they manage visitor flows, in particular by integrating new technologies such as self-service ticket machines.
“For example, at Natural’Parc, visitors can now pick up their tickets via QR code and scan them directly at the entrance gates, facilitating access and reducing queues.”
Managing specific activities such as ‘Keeper for a Day’ or ‘VIP Visits’ is also booming. Qweekle has acquired solid expertise in managing these complex flows, offering solutions for partial payment upon booking, with the balance paid on arrival, and on-site access control management.
Zoos and aquariums are experiencing major fluctuations in visitor numbers, with unexpected peaks due to the capricious weather of late. Qweekle’s ability to navigate between dated and open ticket bookings, and even a mix of the two, as well as organising instant fast-track passes via access control, perfectly meets visitors’ needs.

Putting the focus back on visitors
Thanks to Qweekle, visitors enjoy a more fluid and personalised experience. Queues are reduced, booking is simplified and information is easily accessible.
APIs enable parks to go even further. They can set up innovative initiatives to raise public awareness of the need to protect biodiversity.
For example, the Parc Animalier d’Auvergne displays the daily amount of donations collected on-site in real time via screens. This type of initiative, which encourages visitors to contribute and exceed the previous day’s figure, helps to promote awareness of the key role that parks play in animal protection.
